Boris Coyere is a director and motion designer whose plastic curiosity has led him to the crossroads of drawing and technology. From a very early age, with a pencil in one hand and a mouse in the other, he combined these two domains - art and technology - to design his own art form. A geek with an inexhaustible appetite for learning, his skills developed at the same rate as computer science to compose his very own artistic language.
His time at Ecole Estienne broadened his technical knowledge to include illustration, graphic design and typography.
He longed to start his career and was first employed to design sets for television programmes and then turned his hand to post-production for advertising and animation. From editing to special effects, this multifaceted artist is passionate about all aspects of image ”manipulation”.
Genre films and their remarkable images that draw the spectator in are among Boris’s aesthetic influences. His extremely diverse art forms unfold in an imaginary singularly dark technological, low polygon world. He explores the furthest reaches of every possibility, has expanded his world to include virtual reality and takes an interest in the combination of techniques used for animation films.
What is your superpower? I always have an opinion or input. I’m heavy going.
