Frédéric Tantin

When Frédéric Tantin, known as FredFx, enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, he planned on devoting himself to sound. Yet he fell in love with images. At the start of the new millennium, the early stages of motion design were a revelation for him, and he didn't wait until he'd finished his studies to earn his spurs in visual identity and set design at FRANCE 5 television channel, among others.

His expert, in-depth knowledge of particle system software allows him to create surrealist images in the way that others would sculpt a raw material to bring it to life. These vast worlds with their moving beauty, generated as much through control as by chance, call to mind the work of an explorer photographer capturing his aesthetic encounters.

Frédéric works for post-production agencies and on advertising videos, while teaching degree-level motion design at La Rochelle University.

In the near future, he would like to bring his images to life with augmented reality and music, giving viewers the impression they are entering a living painting.

What's your motto? The devil is in the details.
