Fabien Constant

Fabien Constant

Fabien Constant is one of those people for whom wearing several hats brings balance. Documentaries, advertising, cinema: he alternates his fields of action that fuel each other in a visual language in which the search for intimacy is always present, whatever the scale. He started as a cultural journalist for television and rapidly expanded his range of activities, producing documentaries on fashion that were disruptive in style.

The making of his first film released in cinemas, Mademoiselle C, in 2016, could be the perfect example of how his creation rejects any hierarchy of genres. In Mademoiselle C, the pictures of Carine Roitfeld were shown against a background of fashion and societal issues and linked with fluid delicacy by Fabien Constant’s narrative signature.

”Everything can have just as much meaning and reach if there’s precision.” This motto guided the multidisciplinary director in his advertising work for luxury brands, including Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, and L'Oréal Paris, and in a series of short films for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. Recently, his first feature-length film, Here and Now with Sarah Jessica Parker, filmed in just 16 days in the streets of New York, was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Fabien continues sharing his talent and is currently working on writing a new film.
