Benjamin Audour is a director and photographer whose creative effervescence started when a video camera first fell into his hands the year he turned 14. It was the start of a very long love affair with pictures that he developed with a passion, the way one nourishes a love story through a great deal of personal practice and a degree in the History of the Arts and Cinema.
Inspired by the personalities of his female models, whose subtle sensuality he was able to articulate, this fan of aesthetics loves to make women look even more beautiful by grasping the very moment when an emotion is born. His strong sense of composition and close attention to detail combine with his poetic vision to tell fleeting stories, for which many beauty product brands come to him.
Benjamin gradually turned his back on digital imagery and its immediate results, preferring to use an analogue camera, which allows him to focus on what is most important to him: imagining the shot very early on, trusting his eye and keeping the photograph in mind in order to grasp its power of suggestion and evocation.
Benjamin works to music, which shines through in his works. For him, rhythm is a common thread that guides him when shooting and editing his films. In his work, video and photography are complementary and share with the world of beauty or luxury a universe abounding with rich emotions and subtle dramatic depth, like heartbeats.
